Education and Studies at bib International College
Courses in IT, media design, game and business
Over the past 50 years bib International College has accompanied well over 30,000 graduates on the road to success from campuses in both Bergisch Gladbach and Paderborn. Our staff are dedicated to providing students with personal, intensive support, helping them to develop their strengths and personality. For many of our students their studies in the fields of IT, media design, game, and business culminate in a bachelor’s degree at one of our partner universities, such as Solent University in England, Howest University in Belgium or Griffith College in Ireland.
Outstanding career opportunities for young adults
Our roots go back to 1972 when the computer pioneer Heinz Nixdorf founded an education centre for information-processing professions, with the approval and authorisation of the Ministry of Culture and Education. Since this time, bib has been involved in the development of modern training programs in close cooperation with renowned companies and universities. Today bib International College focuses on the concept of the close interrelationship between theory and practice, creating modern courses for future-oriented professions while networking closely with well-known companies.
All this contributes significantly to the outstanding employment opportunities that result through studying at bib. The success of our graduates speaks for our quality!
Partner universities both in Germany and abroad
In cooperation with our partner universities throughout Europe, we offer study courses that focus on international requirements. Our students gain international qualifications that open up prime career opportunities, offering recruiting companies an extremely broad knowledge and experience base. Additionally, bib graduates can complete a top-up dual bachelor’s degree course, which offers alternating theoretical and practical phases, at the University of Applied Science for Business “Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft” (FHDW), also part of our institution.
Perfect preparation for professional practice
The practice-oriented mediation of know-how by our lecturers is of utmost importance both for students completing vocational training and for those studying for an academic degree. An integral part of all courses is the completion of an in-company project phase which covers a period of numerous weeks. Both sides benefit: not only can our students put their skills to the test in practice and demonstrate their expertise to potential employees, but project companies can also take advantage of students implementing projects for which little time remains in day-to-day business. Due to our large network of excellent contacts, we can mediate high-quality, lucrative and beneficial internships with renowned companies.
