For more than 40 years, bib International College has offered education courses right up to an international bachelor’s degree at the locations in Bergisch Gladbach, Bielefeld, Hanover and Paderborn in the fields of informatics, media design, game and economy. We assist our students with individual, intensive support and help them develop their strengths and personality. As such, we have already accompanied more than 30,000 graduates on the road to success.
The private bib International College emerged from the "Bildungszentrum für informationsverarbeitende Berufe" (Education Centre for Information-Processing Professions), which was founded by the computer pioneer Heinz Nixdorf in 1972. Right from the outset, we have co-designed modern training courses for professions in future-oriented industries and in this regard, established a close-knit network with well-known companies.
Thanks to our experience and market proximity, we keep a close eye on current developments. We know which competences are needed in companies and consistently align our practice-oriented trainings to satisfy these requirements. The close interlocking between the needs of the economy and the interests of young adults is a key component of our concept – and this significantly contributes to the outstanding employment opportunities that are created by completing a vocational training at us. The success of our graduates speaks for our quality!
In cooperation with our partner universities abroad, we offer courses of studies that are aligned to international requirements. Our students develop a clear international profile that offers them prime career opportunities. bib graduates can complete an abbreviated dual bachelor degree course with alternating theory and practical stages in our University of Applied Science for Business "Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft" (FHDW), which counts among our facilities.
Be it a vocational training or academic degree: for us, practical relevance is what counts. Conveying practically-oriented know-how is very important for us. What’s more, in all of our training courses, our students complete project phases that last several weeks at companies. Both sides benefit from this: young adults test their skills in practice and, as such, recommend themselves as potential employees. Companies can cooperate and implement projects for which little time remains in daily business. Thanks to our large network and good contacts, we can mediate high-quality and gainful internships in well-known companies.
